The New Album Sneaky Peak Demos - What I'm Up To Just Now.....

It's been such a weird time lately what with corona world being such an intense thing, I hope you are all keeping safe.  I've been enjoying watching online gigs by artists that I love as they try to keep things going and I've been pretty impressed by how everyone is diversifying right now.

I've been shielding now for nearly a year, it's pretty intense but what it has done is given me an opportunity to really work on music without any distractions so I'm see it as a blessing! You've also had me yoyo'ing to the post box and back every day posting CDs (!) which gives me an excuse to get out of the house and has really encouraged me to write more.

The below video is some snippets of a few new songs that I've been writing in the second bedroom of my house (absolute ghetto style) in the last few weeks to make the new album.  I've been recording drums with the midi drum kit, recording vibraphone and some vocals.  I decided just to chuck the phone video on and off as I was going along so you could see what I was up to. I do look like I've been dragged through a hedge backwards in this video mainly because it was midnight at the time and I was feeling pretty frazzled and yeah, the neighbour knocked on because of the noise (sorry!).   

I'm hoping later this year to re-record the drums in the studio, do all the vocals and get a string quartet in to do all the strings.  I cannot tell you how mind blowing I find it listening to musicians play what you wrote for a track and hear it in real time, absolute magic.
